RPM question

Hey everyone im new here, as I just bought my new Camaro two days ago. My car shakes a little under idle, and at almost all speeds, the RPM needle bounces up and down, even when im just cruising. Anyone else have this problem? or know what it could be? thanks alot

Well since you didn't specify which model you have, I will tell you that if you have an LS3 SS model, the car shaking at idle is normal. It's almost like a misfire, but they all do it. It's due to the cam and idle fuel mixture.

Could be the PCM settings due to the 87 octane your dealer put in for the fuel fill?

Welcome to the site, and your new car! What model is she? Above comments hold for the V8 (not sure about the V6)...

LOTS of great info and people on the site!

Wait until you are almost empty..like 40 miles left, fill with 93 octane. If it doesn't stop, do the fuse pull the L99 cars are doing to reset the octane calibrations. It may or may not work, but I did it for S&G..

My 2SS M6 does the same thing...to me normal. Don't know if yours is more serious, but mine still shakes at 6k.
