Along with a few other names/makes that they revamped to re-invent their name. Good job GM.

I saw the Yahoo article and was going to post it. But they really didn't do as impressive as it sounds. Ford and Chevy are neck and neck for increased profits... but it doesn't quite make up for their recent past.
Plus the article cited the crossovers as being the biggest money maker for them. But I would venture to bet the Camaro added quite a hefty sum for them.
