I had my #5 bow replaced, along with the water management bag, because I was getting water on my back floor when it rained. The roof came off, the interior completely removed, carpet replaced then all put back together. Everything came out fine. The roof fits tight with no wind noise and no rattles inside from being pulled apart.

But....... I still won't have them replace the roof for the rub marks until I know for sure they got the fix right.

So does anyone know anything about a newer TSB that effects the rub marks?

SUX- hows your trimming project turning out?

I just got mine back, water management replaced. I would go with the bracket trimming and the tape as shown on this thread. This seems to have eliminated the rubbing. I would keep the original top if possible. It does seem to be a better quality top than the replacement.
Mine finally seems to have all the kinks worked out.

On the GM techlink search it has this,
2011
Camaro - Convertible top cloth spots or damage between 1 and 2 bow
Update the flipper door bracket
Replace the flipper door bracket or the top link assemblies
Bulletin number 11-08-67-001

Does this mean GM has made a new flipper door bracket or top link assemblies?
Anyone know about this?

First post! Add me to the list of top problems. Picked up our new 2SS 45th Ann Vert in Georgia on 11-17-11. Car was built on 10-24-11. Dealer said there was a top problem. We have a car with big gap on both sides in the back and bulge in the top where it meets trunk and puffy top look. Dealer said #5 bow is bent and needs to be replaced. He showed me #PIC5449A dated 11-27-11 showing and documenting the problem by GM. Also showed me #PI0406A dated 9-27-11 removal of top/water management bag. I will be taking it to my local dealer in SW Florida to see what they say and hope they don't use me as a beta tester for a local trim shop.

Thanks Drago 77. My wife and I really like the Camaro but to have warranty work reguired before you drive it off the dealers lot sucks. We live in Punta Gorda. I will take it to the local dealer tomorrow and listen to what they say. Thanks to Camaro5 and all who post on here, I bet I will know more about the problem and the hopeful fix than this dealer knows. We will see, and I will post here.

I'm almost on 2 car payments and I've only made 2 so far. Does that mean it's free now?

I dropped the car off for a new top on November 4th. The dealer told me they would start to work on it on November 9th. On November 14th the dealer informed me that they performed all the technical bulletin work and delivered it to a trim shop on November 12th to have the top installed and rivets moved. Well I tried to get an update from the dealer service rep late last week with zero success. I finally talk to the dealer service rep yesterday November 21st, he told me the trim shop needed to order a part and it would be delivered later this week, but wasn't sure of delivery because of the holiday. Once the trim shop is done the dealer will do a final inspection and leak test, this means I probably won't have my car back until the end of November/beginning of December. I'm not happy about this drawn out process, all I want is a car that's fixed and that I can enjoy. I'll have to weight this experience when purchasing my next car.
