Got my Camaro! Very pleased and really enjoying it.

So much good to say about it. Only have about 180 miles on it, but I'm stoked!

Only nits are minor. The sun visors are a joke and the metal stick-on door sill plates are not staying down as they are peeling up on the outside edges. Other than this, everything is as expected or better.

My car buying experience with Jason Moser at Sands Motor Company, Glendale, was first rate. My Dealership is a class act and I will return there for future vehicles. They have 6 more Camaro allocations if anyone out there is interested.

For those asking about Pix, please see the ABM Color thread...

It sounds like it is a small dealership. They only had two others working. I have been able to have a good relationship with my customers most would wait. I would come in on my day off if they insist.

While I agree with you, IMO then they should have told her they didn't have the personnel to prep it correctly or something; not, sorry, your salesman isn't here. Personally, I'd have flipped.

I had a customers car come in and they would not touch it until they got in touch with me. Some customers don't want the plastic removed off the seats some don't even want it washed. It sounds like they were being careful. I have noticed there is a real disdain for the salesman on this forum.

Not at all from me really. I have high respect for members like RPO_Z28, TeamLynn, Camaro Scotty, and the list goes on. The problem is that there are MANY, not just a few, dealers and salesmen that give the rest a bad name. It seems that in this case, the few apples are the good ones. No disrespect intended to you.

I guess Saturday there are no service people there, and they only have a skeleton crew of salesmen. My salesman never called me when things happened with my car. I always found out about it on this forum and then went there and he would say "Oh yea, we got an invoice today so we have your vin#" and then when I went to leave he always said "If I hear anything else, I'll call you". Never happened.

Thank you... I did not feel any disrespect from you. Any salesman who is on Camaro5 cares about the car and is hoping to get a pulse of what the customer is saying. I am on the Malibu Cobalt and GM inside news forum too. The bad salesman are not and don't hear or care about the gripes on these forums. Everything is better when the car shows up...

I think a lot of it is that the salesmen aren't as excited about the "car" as the people here on the forum, it's just a job for them. We just think they should be as excited as the customer is.
You're right, though. Everything is better when the car is delivered.

The owner of the dealership took delivery of his a while ago, and unfortunately got in an accident right in front of the dealership. Accidents can happen to anyone. I guess we'll see how hard it is going tobe to get replacement parts for the new Camaro's.

You are right there is alot of pressure for a salesman who gets 100% commission. It has been a tough year and most dealerships are only getting a hand full of Camaros. They need to sell a car now and Camaro ups are coming in all day and keeping the salesman from selling what they have. I am excited about the car and have delivered 3 so far and have another 14 on order. The phone rings all day long about the Camaro which is great but when I tell them if they order now they will see the car in the fall they get upset and many of them give me the line "no wonder GM is in trouble."
Right now there are way more customers then cars and the salesman is focused on what he can sell now.

GM tracking #

I recieved a booklet from GM with a tracking #. Any idea if I can see what it is about? If so where or should I see my dealer. My car is on its way 'cause I called GM.
