We are currently still discussing licensing with GM, but they are wanting the emblems to stay gold. Which dosn't make sense because you can buy emblem overlays on ebay, paint them or remove them. I think black or any color would be better than no emblem. They said they might approve them but we had to remove them from the web site until they make up their mind. The whole thing has been going on since Thanksgiving so we have no idea when GM will make a final choice. The process has been very frustrating.

Plasti-Dip is definitely the cheapest and most efficient way to do it. We Plastidipped a friends wheels about a year and a half ago and they look like they did the day we did it. Best part is if you do end up with a rock chip you can just peel and repaint, and for a bowtie you can probably paint it 2-3 times with one can of plasti dip.

Do it yourself! I bought some vinyl off of Ebay for $10 or so - a 1'x5' roll of matte black 3M auto vinyl. It takes minutes. The front emblem is more difficult than the rear due to the size/shape, but a hair drier and some patience will get it completely smooth. Lasts for years.

Use auto paint go to a body shop and get them to lightly sand and spray your bowties or use Lupe from rivercitycreations
