Injen Short Ram CAI

Looking for some feedback from anyone that is using the Injen Short Ram CAI. I'm currently using the long tube and was thinking about going with the Short Ram. Thanks

This is the long tube, filter sits down behind the DRL. The short ram has the filter where the water bottle is.

I got the short ram and I like it. I think all the short ram cai's are pretty much the same in terms of power so its more of a looks thing. You may lose a few hp from switching from a long tube to short though.

I can understand the water issues that you are having and that's why I didn't get the Long tube. Since I've installed mine, I've loved it.

Did you get the sock/sheild that goes around the filter? Its not water proof but resistant and keeps alot out. But I see your concern if you had that kind of rain problem then might not be a bad idea to switch.

Yes, it had the filter condom (hydroshield)

I just got the Halltech cai on the ss and it is great. But also just bought the scoop from a member, the one you get from apex chase that ducts air from the lower grill and up to the filter.Mounts where the washer bottle is. good for 5 hp but gives nice pickup in high gear on the freeway and around town potentially. No water problems. Kind of like a ram air, but I guess could call it directional air
Might look into that to help out the cai.

I really like the long tube, think it's a great product. Will probably keep the CAI so I can be put back on when it's no longer my DD.

I'm sorry to hear about your issue. I live in Utah and mine is also a DD, so before i put my hydroshield on i put my hand in it and ran it under the facet. Not a single drop. Thats crazy you had an issue... I guess it's another thing i can start stressing about.
