So is the 13 hp from just from the ported TB or is that with the cai and ported TB. Was the first dyno run done with the cai on the car just so im clear. Because so many people say no hp gain with a ported TB 13hp would be a good gain.

What shop was that? Is there tuning involved at all? By saying cnc'd and ported are you opening up the TB at all? Got any pics? 13hp and 17tq? is alot IMHO.

So the only 2 mods on this 2012 car was CAI and TB? And the TB alone (on an otherwise stock set up) made 12hp?

Man this tb controversy do they make hp or don't they its hard to believe with no tune its making that much hp. I'm just saying i can see a couple and better throttle response but 10 to 12. Its still a bottle neck at the flap 90mm no matter how much you shave off. I keep waiting for the bbk 95mm and there claiming 10 hp. If i can just have mine ported for half the cost and make the same hp I'm in. i just not convinced yet i guess.

Thats just the thing the factory TBs restriction is not the blade but the housing itself. Its not as bad as the LS2 Tb but its still a restriction.
If Im reading that dyno sheet right they have a L99 making 420hp/410lbft with just a CAI?

I didn't say anything cause I'm just not convinced anyone picks up that much anymore lol. But hey everybody's gotta make money and there's "believers" with money so hey make that money.

For a 139.00 its a great mod, the dyno is what a independent shop reported back to us,

We have been porting all kinds of TBs for the last 8 years just look at the feedback on our site from previous customers.

Would you do a money back gurantee? Or show data of 5 or more TB results like this one.... Just an idea. Not that it's not possible but there is a freak piece everywhere.

That has to be the most generous dyno I've seen.
An L99 with intake and Ported TB making 420 rwhp?

It should be making around 350 rwhp with those mods.

I think the problem is, that this particular dyno pic is suspect in several areas. First the claims of hp gains in general for just a TB are pretty dang high in comparison to the norm. Second, the max hp rating of the engine that was dynoed with only a CAI and TB is very high.
And last, the feedback that you will show will only show the positive side. This topic has been talked about in depth so there is alot if skepticism as to whether this mod has substantial gains on a stock motor with just a CAI. Hence the doubt!

Alot of guys post what I call "HAPPY COMMENTS" about a mod, claiming an enormous difference?? When in reality it was minimal or no gain. They just do the mod and swear they feel the difference!! Bc that's what they wanna believe. These comments then sometimes confuse other less experienced modders into believing what they read.

So some say they help throttle response? Sounds true based on the consensus. Some say minimal gains? Probably? Some say 10+ hp gain? Doubtful. Possible maybe, but doubtful depending on the dyno and combination.
