Price???
Now that there are several options available, I would expect the prices to start coming down.

Some are discussed here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...light=rear+end

What is your ETA to market? I'm building my engine now and thinking about upgrading the rear end as well...

If I already have the DSS driveshaft and DSS 1000HP axles will this 8.8 center work with my existing parts?

Where have you been hiding, under a rock??? The below linked popular 9" conversions from DSS and GForce have been out for a few years now, and continually get better and better. The newest addition, the "Hammerhead" is an IRS spin on the Chevy 12-bolt. Also, Strange Engineering is working on a Dana 60 based rear end, supposedly to be released this coming summer. Keep in mind, the prices listed are retail. If you can make something substantially more affordable, you might have a winner on your hands!!!!

That is just one of them. They offer them in different preload configurations.

Very Good Question!!!
I was referring to a 8.8 not a 9 inch or any of the conversions.

We are exploring a few different options, IE direct replacement no modifying needed, Will work with OEM Parts ect...

Tagging this for extreme interest. I understand that it's hard to get costs down, but I'm really only in the market for something between a 1LE diff/axles and the DSS or GForce 9" kit.

$5,000 is a lot to spend on a rearend. Worth the money, no doubt, but it's still painful LOL.
