Traction because the ZL1 isn't designed as a drag car, its designed to be a road racing car first and foremost.

Your statement was incorrect, no one was being an a-hole. They were just making a correction and providing factual information.

Even the built A10's do not seem to be lasting very long above 1100whp. That is just a level of power where something will eventually give. Jason has mentioned a few times.

Yea, there's a reason why all high HP cars go back to fewer gears. There's too much complexity in the newer transmissions. For all their efficiency which makes them rather strong to a certain point, when ultimate power is what you're after, all roads lead to 2-4 gear transmissions.

I appreciate the help and further insight. I'm pretty happy I don't have to build the trans yet haha. Saves me some $$ lol

Hp Tuners has done us tuners no favors with A10 tuning. Very limited compared to other platforms. Stock trans will be great at 850 if tuning is correct. Even into the 900’s if airflow and torque data is dialed in. Pure has been doing pretty well with their 10 speed stuff on higher output builds. Jason runs it at 1400+, but no one knows how long it will last.

I'm not suggesting A10s are good to this power, but LMP's ZL1, making around mid-900s to the tires, burned their A10-up. I don't know about the tuning or history behind that build (I'd watched all the videos on the channel, but there wasn't much mention of that car), but that tranny started giving up before 1K to the tires.
That's a lot, IMO. It sure seems like people think it's not. lol
