6L80E with stall converters tcc fix

anyone needing a tcc apply fix for the aftermarket converters should contact wacker or trifecta and get your re-program.. i had my tcc programmed only at hwy speeds in 6th before just to keep the tcc slip at around 0,, now with the trifecta tune fix i can apply the tcc in any gear or speed and it will lock the converter on with 0rpm slip.

after you apply the trifecta tcc re-program, you can then use hpt or efi to program your trans like normal, adjusting anything like before the fix.

thanks WACKER

i know hpt is coming out with more tcc tables in the next beta, but this fix is here now!

without this fix you will burn up the tcc clutch eventually if you are seeing tcc slip rpm while monitoring the tcc data and tcc is applied.

What converter are you running. I'd sure like to see a TCC line/slip log, my bet is you have converter slip...

The Yanks are a single disk that hide the slip very well, trust me you are getting TCC slip. I'm guessing what you've done is set the lockup speed to a higher MPH value which alleviates allot of the problem. Unfortunately your not maximizing fuel economy for the times when you don't have your foot to the floor. What we have been able to do is allow lockup at any speed including during four cylinder operation. I have achieved 26 MPG at 80 MPH with 4.10 gears. The switch to 3.70's should net near 28 MPG and a stock auto should get close to 30 MPG. I have also tuned AFM to be active in 6th gear in D mode only. If you have the capability to log TCC slip, TCC line pressure, and TCC desired slip please do so. You'll see what guys with a triple disk feel. Just because you don't feel it, doesn't mean your not getting it.

Well I get 22 mpg which is fine with me at 75-85 mph
Car has a cam, supercharger, headers etc and 500+ rwhp with that converter. I could care less about mpg. It locks up nice and feels smooth. I am sure I could tune the timing and fuel different to gain more mpg but don't care to. Next time I have a chance I will scan it. Though line pressure etc needed to be turned up in almost all areas with this converter.

That's great fuel economy for your setup!! I was not aware EFI Live had the ability to adjust TCC line pressure. Anyway you can do a screen shot of those tables?
