Ive had a set of drag radials that lasted longer that that 10+ strip passes. 2000 bucks would be a hard thing to swallow 2x year for someone who drives the car alot.

No way these tires only last 10k unless you are road track racing all the time. ....they will at least go 15k.. |

When my rear tires are gone I'm going to replace then with Nitto NT05 in 315/35-20 size. Then when it's time for the full set I'll go with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The grip is said to be equal or better and the ride is smoother and quieter. Price is about the same as the OEM tires. I've checked with my dealer and several tire shops all have confirmed that there is not problem with slightly different diameters as long as they are within 3% or less of each other. According to Discount Tire the use of 275 in the front and 315 in the rear is an "approved" fitment. I'm not sure who approved it!

The PS2's will outhandle the GY's in any measureable performance category, while outlasting them at a ratio of about 2:1 . Both my Z06 & Grand Sport vert came from the factory with GY's(Gens 1&2 respectively) and required replacement within 5k miles. Not because they were worn out,I replace tires on my performance cars when they lose grip, regardless of tread depth. Which in my case was around 5k miles. Not to mention the ROAR the GY's are notorious for. Over on Corvette Forum, there have been many threads where people were getting <10k miles out of a set of the GY's when only street driven. And the responses given overwhelmingly were in favor of the Michelins with several votes cast in favor of the Bridgestone Pole Positions, but I don't think they are available in ZL1 sizing. And I've heard the new Michelin Super Sports are even better if a runflat is not a requirement. |

I haven't been to the track once and I've only done a couple little burnouts just learning how to use the launch control. The tires are a super soft compound and down here in Florida on the hot streets they just disappear quick. I too have replaced one of my rear 's do to road hazard. when i get on the gas even halfway i can see the tires leavin rubber on the street in the mirror

Treaddepot.com
I've bought tires from these guys before. Fronts: $327 http://www.treaddepot.com/tirelist.h...ize=285/35ZR20 Rears: $355 http://www.treaddepot.com/tirelist.h...ize=305/35ZR20 I was thinking of buying one tire a month. It would seem a little less harsh then buying a complete set at once. |
