Engine power reduced

Just gotfor the codethe "Engine power reduced". It also said "service stabilitrak"
The car is going real slow so I stopped at a dealership & waiting for an answer.

Anyone know what this is & if its covered under the powertrain warranty?

Throttle body problem on a Tahoe made it do that, I would assume its under warranty.

Could be just a power glitch. turn off and restart and see if it corrects its'elf. if not most likely is the TB or MAF.

If that does not reset it, then disconnect the negative cable from the battery in the trunk for a few minutes. Reconnect and it should reset and clear.

Should be covered, but not 100% sure.

Well, it ended up being the "fuel rail pressure monitor" needing to be reprogrammed. Dealer told me they "updated" the program that controls the pressure monitor. It's costing about $225 because it's not part of the powertrain warranty.
I was leaving town about an hour after this happened so I didn't have time to disconnect the battery. I did turn it off & on - that didn't make a difference

Thoughts anyone?

Handheld tuner/programmer would have fixed that. Its not like any of the dealers are gonna honor much of the warranty complaints even after the whole "An extended warranty is the peace of mind you need with a performance car like this". Hell I had to spend thiry minutes explaining the "weak MAF" sensor issue to the service writer at mmy stealership that this website alerted me too when I first got the car. I fixed it at my own expense and own two hands. It came out perfect! Thanks to the members here and not the dealer. Anymore dealer mechanics are little better than upgraded jiffy lube techs with two hours of ASE training, or so it seems.

what type of tuner/programmer? anyone else that could have done it besides the dealer? I was on the road & just stopped there because it was very close and had to leave town.

I'm so ready to get rid of this car as soon as I can break even. I hate saying that, but this just adds to the list..

3 tops (fabric) & 1 frame
1 window motor & regulator
Window weather stripping shrinking
OnStar went bad as soon as I got it - had to have it reprogrammed
Cable in trunk repositioned-it was rubbing a hole in the weather stripping

When's it going to end?

That is a factory TSB update that should have been done for free. Well known also. GM provides the undates, and it takes like 10 minutes to do it so small labor outlay.

Hmmmmm.......

Yep...very well known.

Looks like another crooked Dealership trying to maximize profits.
Knowledge is power.
I would go back and confront them for a refund.
