have to drop the whole rear assembly and exhaust. It takes a pro about 6 hours to install the new LPE or ADM system. Much easier on a lift than a garage project.

Dont have to drop the rear. See ADM thread. Did it the other day. Took me a bit longer than 6 hours though. |

with just average daily driving (not WOT) do 85lb injectors use more fuel or are they just capable of delivering more fuel?

Hard for me to judge as I went straight from the 52 stock edelbrock injectors to the 85lb ones and turned up the power and was stroked. Then with e85 conversion my milage has really dropped. Add to that the fun of driving 700 plus hp and its pretty much 10 to 13 miles per gal average. Was it the injectors? Was it the larger displacement? 30 percent was probably the fuel though. Honestly, I dont think the larger injectors would hurt milage much unless you were giving a high demand for fuel and that is controlled by your foot.

At idle and part throttle driving your O2 sensor tries to always have a 14.7 A/F(air/fuel) regardless of the size of your injectors. The larger injectors are just capable of delivering more fuel as you said. A lot of people think you can add bigger injectors and make more power. But, unless you are running out of fuel that will not happen because injectors are not power adders. Fuel injectors don't make more power they just support more power.

Drop exhaust, drive shaft, heat shields, remove park brake cables. Remove front 2 cradle bolts & loosen rear 2 bolts & swing everything down. Gas tank will slide right out then. The whole install will take about 6 - 6 1/2 hours with wiring & mods.
