2011 SS vs. 99 Cobra - Results
So...some of you may remember this post.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=249198 Well the race finally went down. It was a test & tune so they weren't letting us run together. He managed to get 4 runs in and I managed to get 2 in before the rain. His runs (remember he claimed he ran a low 13s)- 15.556 14.442 14.446 15.257 Mine- and a 13.4 . That 13.116 is the best run I've ever ran . Really hope I can break 13 soon. |

Wow...those Cobra times are HORRIBLE. My ex-girlfriend's 99' Cobra (with CAI, catback and 4.11 gears) went 13.0xs @ 106 with HER driving it!
Your race should've been significantly closer than that LOL.

Good job.
It's nice to read about actual real world follow-ups to these vs. threads.

Get your 60 down and your 12's all day and yeah either that cobra is really tired or he needs more seat time because even stock they should run better then that.

Saw your sig, trying to win a GoPro are you?
Watched a 99 Cobra run a 14.9 this past weekend. Technology has moved on without them I guess. I bet they never thought they'd be outrun by a heavier V6 version of thier car one day. 03-04 Cobras are still lethal though. I want to say good kill to the OP, but that was kind of like beating up a guy in a wheelchair. -1.5 sec is hardly fair. But hey, Cobra owner asked for it.

Dude must have been blowing his launch to the nth degree.
That 13.1 with a fair 60' is impressive though. As far as the Cobras though, I went 13.6 with gears/midpipe/cutback and a 1.85 60' with my 2v GT. Equal mods and a driver mod on Pre-03 Cobras should be bottom 13s, may e high 12s on the solid axle 96-98 models.
