Constructing Carmikaze
Howdy'all! Howie here with the construction of my decepticon themed Camaro. Retired USAF Load Toad working on F-16, A-10, F-15, F-4 and F-22's. Worked as a Field Lead Engineer for General Atomics running the site for the Predator Drones for a couple years and now working with my brother with a franchise of 6 McDonalds restaurants around Houston TX. Have always been a rule follower and one of the good guys, so decided to go with the dark side and have Carmikaze represent the Decepticons. I am not a die hard Transformers fan, I like the movies but just thought it would be a good theme for the car. (and I don't think it will turn into a huge robot one day!) Car was originally my work vehicle for about 6 months, then I bought it, found the H-Town Camaro Club and they, along with this site, hooked me into all the mods that can be done with this car. Enjoy.
Straight off the Dealers lot. I had the Stripes painted on and the GFX installed. Next came the Custom name and badging from emblem pros Blacked out the rear bowtie and Bezels Got a killer deal on VDI hinges and install from Knohl's Customs Had Airbrushbrothers.com do all of my airbrushing Took off my Calipers and had them powdercoated and installed a set of GOBO lights under the rear bumper Installed a Decepticon emblem and plastidipped the Gas cap cover   Had FNG from this site cut me some glyphs and vinyl for the bottom of the doors Had the Decepticon emblem stitched into the headrest covers Installed black rims with decepticon center caps, added "to punish and enslave" logo and added red vinyl pinstriping to the rims Installed custom front bowtie from Gary's customs and personalized plate Last edited by Carmikaze; 01-22-2015 at 03:41 PM. |

Constructing Carmikaze
Added airbrushed strut tower brace.
 Installed SOLO exhaust and square black tips, also painted trim rings black

Haven't updated in a while, but installed the night owl system, which is awesome and removed my spoiler to get ready for the installation of a high wing.

Added wheel lights. very cheap mod for about $30 using LED strips and attaching to the heat shield.

Updated pictures of some changes to the car. New ACS hood liner re-airbrushed. Removed door inserts to be re-airbrushed and heavy duty clearcoat to prevent scratching. and Cup holder insert.
