Front Plates

I bought my Camaro in Seattle about a month ago; I'm from the Tri-Cities and just received my plates in the mail today. Any Washingtonian Camaro owners putting on their front plates? I found out it’s the law here. I would rather not, it would destroy the look.

hey i'm in othello
I have had mine for goin on 4 months and i havent put em on yet
you can get a bracket on ebay that uses existing screws and mounts under the bumper
also there are several threads with links to motorized mounts that hide under the bumper, one has a remote
if iget stopped i will play the backorder card and order one of the mounts that comes from underneath the car
hope that helps

I am in VA and front plates are required here too. There was no way I was drilling the front bumper. So I found someone who made a nice looking plate mount that could be modified to fit the Camaro. Here are some pics of it mounted on my car - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...6&postcount=45. You can find ordering information here http://****************/.

Here is the best solution I have found for the front plates. I don't want holes drilled in mine . But, don't want ot get pulled over for it either.

I'm not putting my in either. Spoils the look of the front of the car. I ordered a hideaway mount that goes under the front bumper when not is use. It came from drivingcomfort.com $49.95. Works really nice.

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER

My car was ordered from a Michigan dealer and they don't have front plates in Michigan, so my car did not come with a front bracket (or maybe it did but I think I remember telling them to trash it).

I did, however, order personalized Law Enforcement Memorial plates. Cost me $85 and the money goes to a great cause, but in my experience the added bonus is that the officer tends to look the other way for minor violations in light of the support I've shown for their fellow fallen officers (and since I have a few police officers in my family I know what they have to go through on a daily basis)

I decided to suck it up and have them put on. I didn't want to give the cops any excuse to pull me over. I did stand over the guy at the dealership and watched as he did it. It went really quick and was fairly painless--for me.

I have been driving around Oregon and Washington for years without a front plate. And so far no tickets, even if I get a ticket I will just pay it and be done with it. There isn't going to be a front plate on my car.
