MSRP increase from 22 to 23?

Placed an order a few weeks ago for a 22 ZL1 1LE. I understand the wait could be 6+ months so realistically I'm looking at a 23. Should I expect a price increase if that's the case? Dealership is selling it to me at 74k. Thanks

Expect to pay at least 7K more after dealer fees and tax and tile.

No one knows if there is a price change for 2023s yet. Several other manufacturers have raised prices though so its not impossible of course.

I feel like at this point there should be nobody left who is shocked or surprised at prices these days. We all saw this coming. I said it many times before, if you show someone what you're willing to pay, then they're gonna charge you that much. People showed that they are willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars over MSRP for this level of performance. So GM would be pretty stupid if they didn't raise the MSRP. And dealerships would be stupid if they didn't charge markups. And all the fussin and complainin and stompin feet and poutin ain't gonna change a thing. At this point, either you want it and are willing to pay the extra money or you just won't end up with this kind of car.

And no, this isn't just some temporary wave. This is the future and it is here to stay.

^^^^^ yep, and GM's Marry Barra, has already stated they will never return inventory to pre-pandemic levels. Whether or not this holds to be true if other manufacturers ramp up production, we shall see.

Good luck on your order sir.

Msrp will go up. If the dealer is solid they will price protect the order though. Just went through it on a Ram TRX order. MSRP went up 4800 from order to build and dealer held the price to what we agreed to at order. Some are not doing that though.

Thanks for all the replies. Figured there would be a price increase just wasn't sure what to expect.

Actually just found a good deal on a low mileage 2018 so will be going that route.

Your best bet is to ask your dealership. I would imagine that GM would follow whatever the market dictates. The only issue now is are people going to want to get into a Camaro with gas prices on the rise?

One simple question. Why would you ask people on a forum if you should expect a price increase when the manufacturer has not yet announced 2023 prices? How would someone here have a clue? Prices go up every year but by how much is determined by the manufacturer not by forum members. Not being rude just find the question ridiculous.

Guess I could've re-worded it but maybe based on people's experience over the last few years...how much it may have went up or if anyone had insight from their local dealers what it might be. Trying to make a decision if a preowned one would be a better purchase for me compared to buying a new one (which ordered was a 22 but now seems like it'd be a 23).

Nothing more than feeling out...like the other threads wondering how long their order will take.
