OMG Mylink!

After driving around breaking my car in for another 45 minutes my phone became disconnected 4 times. I'm playing music through a cable via USB and it is just downright ANNOYING.

Anybody else have a similar issue? Know of a possible fix?

Next time i'm going to connect via bt and see if I still get disconnected.

...just hit 370 mi. Only 1130 more to go!

Happens to mine. You will be fine connecting through blue tooth. The USB cable just comes loose especially taking a turn too fast or hitting a bump.

Put your music on a thumb drive and leave it connected. Never had an issue.

That's what I did. No issues at all.

Sincere apologies about the MyLink concerns and I understand any frustration this causes. While I notice that you're seeking thoughts and opinions, you're welcome to send us a message for assistance with setting up an appointment for an official GM diagnosis. At that point, I'll reach out to the dealer's customer care specialist who is the point of contact for resolving customer/vehicle issues at the dealer level.

What phone / software are you using?

I have had zero issues on this.

I ask, as the issue may not be with the CAR, but maybe the phone?

I've had nothing but problems with MyLink. Freezing, Gracenote flashing me out of GPS navigation whether its on or not, having to press buttons 4-5 times to get them to respond, HVAC controls not showing change on the NAV when I turn the knobs. Have had multiple firmware updates at the dealership trying to fix. Pretty irritated GM couldn't even take the time to properly get all the bugs out of a NAV unit thats in a 60K car. I use a USB thumb drive.

Don't be rude. I think it absolutely fantastic that there is an official GM presence here to address concerns. THAT is a step in the right direction in really taking care of customers.

To Chevrolet Customer Care,
Thank you for being on these forums!

That was a very unfortunate, but even more so, isolated incident. I have had nothing but good experiences here in the Detroit area with Chevrolet dealers and wouldn't hesitate to drop my car off for service.

I'm glad you think "take it to the dealer" is a step in the right direction. I'm sure there's a line up of lot boys just waiting to look after your car.

Sure it was a very unfortunate case for more than one person
For the jackass that did it and got nailed , just because he wrecked the car and couldn't run away from it
And for the car owner , that had to go to hell and back twice to get it solved

And one other thing , don't tell us that when you leave your car in the service center , that you just walk away without looking back

I probably happens a lot more than you think. A month ago I was at a dealer getting an oil change on my wife's CTS, I was talking to the salesman that sold us the cadillac, he was showing us a couple of new vettes they had in. He was saying all theirs were presold, they even had another dealer call and try to buy one of theirs because of a PDI incident that was leaving them short one new C7. He didn't go into a lot of detail but did say the car was lost to a joyride.
