Ordering, Allocation, and Pricing News....Your one stop thread.

Here's what I know:

Ordering starts October 13th.

Allocation will be known on October 13th as well. Dealers will be getting ordering guides to assist in the process...

Prices will be made available after January 1, 2009. (I won't get into the guessing games.....)

This is NOT speculation.

This IS however, (per GM's law) *subject to change

Thanks for YOUR support! Thanks for sharin' the CAMARO LOVE!

In other words, do not listen to any claims from dealers or individuals who claim to know pricing.

pricing THAT much later than allocation & ordering kinda sucks - but itll be worth it in the end i guess.

18 days - ordering...then 2.5 months - prices....then 3-4 months and we'll have them!!

I was going to ask the same thing. Has it been confirmed that we can edit our orders after pricing is announced? I don't want to order 21" chrome wheels only to find out in January it is a $2,000 option (that's an exaggeration, but you know what I mean).

BTW-Long time reader, first time poster. You guys are awesome, thanks for all the info over the past few months.

yes ftizpatrick made clear that because the orders now are only to help determine what parts they need on hand that you will be able to change your order once you discover pricing.

makes me sad though considering that they said they would try to have it by oct 13. if it was close to get it by then why do they need to bump all the way back to Jan....

I would like to place my order in october, but im scared that they will see how many people are placing orders without even knowing pricing and then charge more than they had originally planned.

When you place an order when is it sent in to be built at the factory? Like what if you place an order and you realize you cant afford some of the options that you wanted, can you change something?

They would have to let you change it. I'm sure there will be an announced date for when orders will be sent to the factory. Once this happens, your order is probably set in stone.

If they were allowed to take orders before prices were announced and then disallowed changing or canceling of those orders, there would be an uproar.

Again, this is just my guess.
