Stabilitrak
So my "service stabilitrak" warning just came on at 4825 miles. Has anyone else had this problem? I really don't want to take it back to the dealer unless its covered by the standard warranty. Anyone have any advice? thanks!

I have witnessed many issues with our Camaro remedied by simply parking the car for a few minutes and then simply restarting. items such as service Stabiltrak, window reset issues, etc............worth a try.

Yes, it's covered. Mine had a bad steering wheel angle sensor. They replaced it and all has been fine since.

abalch87, have you been in to see the dealer to get this issue checked out or has it taken care of itself like LWM suggested? Thank you for your time.

If you're in the US, you have a bumper-to-bumper warranty, so, of course it will be covered.
You didn't mention if you were driving in rain or other slippery conditions. The "Service Stabilitrack" light will come on anytime the computer is confused by readings from one or more wheel sensors. If that happened, it should clear pretty soon. If it stays on, you definitely need to take it in to be checked.

I have had a lot of trouble with the Stabilitrak light coming on ever since I bought the car new. Now w/ 13K miles. The dealer finally diagnosed it as a bad steering wheel angle sensor, which GM refuses to cover under warranty because of the engine modifications that have been made. I just don't see how the mods could make the sensor go bad. Looks like I will have to take action on this one.
So, do you guys have mods with Stabiltrak light coming on? Anyone?
