Radley
Radley Chevy in Fredericksburg, VA:
internet sales website for a "one-owner", used 2010 Camaro for $54,950 with over 2,100 miles on it? USED: Radley Chevrolet for a "USED 2010 Camaro"...............................$54,950 Includes aftermarket21 inch wheels, window tint, and removing exhaust resonators. DOES NOT INCLUDE the factory 20" wheels and tires which were kept by Mark/employee (available on Ebay right now for $1,200-1,500, not counting shipping) NEW: Exact same options as used car above but for a "BRAND NEW 2010 Camaro" $45,935 NEW Includes same GM 21 inch wheels (PLUS includes a second set: 20 inch wheels and tires) Cost of Mark's Add-Ons: Aftermarket <$200 tint and $200 resonator and straight pipes. New car total $46,335 NEW Price Difference from USED over NEW........................................$8,615 Adding the Ebay resale value of the wheels and tires Mark kept.............$1,200 Grand total over MSRP used vs new Camaro with same options.................$9,815 (Grand total equates to 4,089 Gallons of premium gas at $2.40 a gallon, or One fill up every 3 days for 3 years) The finer details: After speaking with both you and Mark he validated all available options that he had ordered from the factory and what he added personally to the car as outlined below. You indicated, "He put a lot of money into it." After speaking with him, I asked what he put into it; - He purchased 21'' wheels from GM site (BUT, Mark kept the 20 inch wheels and tires, Ebay value today at $1,200-$1,500). When you buy the 21'' GM wheels (whether when ordering from the factory or from GM aftermarket, you still keep the 20'' wheels and Pirelli tires). I guess consumer's like me won't know that though. - Mark tinted the windows, cost is @ $169 for a Camaro tint job at of today's price at a Customs shop on route 1 just down from Radley Chevrolet. - Mark said,"I cut off the resonators and put on straight pipes". @ $100-$150 (being generous here). The custom exhaust you advertise is nothing more than removing the resonators from the existing pipes, and extending straight pipes. Since, Mark ordered the GM wheels aftermarket but are also a "build your own" option" on Chevrolet website at the exact same price, I tallied both amounts in the totals above. Reality check: I CAN and DID build and ultimately receive a BRAND NEW CAMARO for MSRP or less (in my case $750 less at Country Chevrolet). Again, your USED Camaro is marked up over $9,815 over what a NEW car would cost. If anyone can order an SS2 with "every" option to include 21" custom wheels, RS package, Ground Effects Package, Sunroof, and most expensive rally stripes for $45,935 BRAND NEW, why then would anyone buy a USED one for $9,815 more? We believe Radley may have shattered the US record for gouging consumers for a USED Camaro. We (28,000 Camaro 5 and 5thGen members) identify dealerships that price gouge consumers across the US and put them on the "dealerships to avoid listings." These members, like myself talk to others who inquire where we got ours and let them know where to go and of course who they should avoid. Although I live only 5 miles from Radley, I personally had no problem walking out of the Radley showroom after hearing, "we can't guarantee the price when you order and the price will most likely go up by the time it's delivered." So, I drove 45 minutes to Country Chevrolet in Warrenton to order my Camaro, and then again the 45 more minutes each way to pick it up. Maybe 3 hours total for two drives to and from Warrenton, plus $750 below MSRP with the USAA discount. If I bought your USED one for $9,915 over MSRP of a NEW one vs a customer driving to Warrenton, it equates to $3,271 per hour. Lastly, please take me off Radley's internet email listing as I have no intention of ever buying from Radley or using Radley's services. Country Chevrolet who said, "We only sell them at MSRP" and meant it, will get my repeat business and service. PS. I'm sending an email to Fritz Henderson (GM CEO) and Bob Lutz (Marketing) with a page snapshot I snapped of your website as well. Unbelievable! We are selling them at MSRP also. Enjoy your Camaro. Thanks, Karen ---------- Original Message ---------- I ended up buying from Country because they were selling at MSRP. I've been driving it for over a month. Thanks, Vince

Sorry accidentally hit enter before finishing
This is an email I sent to the Internet Sales Mgr at Radley Chevy who told me they originally sell Camaro's at MSRP. The one they are selling is used and @$10K over a new car's MSRP PLUS they are keeping the 20 inch wheels and tires.

Got to love the dealers in our area. I was down there awhile back and they had two on the lot for $5k over sticker. I am like you, going out a ways in order to find a good deal versus dealing with these guys.
