No, I have a 1LE and have mounted the full size stock SS 20x8 front wheel to both front and back with no issues. The adapter is if you are trying to use the spare that comes with the V6 Camaro on an SS car, the wheel will not clear the Brembo's...

Just to be clear, if you're running the stock 1LE configuration, you need to find a tire that is 27.9" tall to match your rear Goodyear F1 tire if you need to use as a spare on the back. The 28.1 OD I referenced is what my 295/35-20 is measured at...

What about

Thanks again. What about a 20 by 9 or 20 by 10 SS wheel and tire if it has the required 28.1 OD? Also will any of those SS Wheels and tires sit in my spare tire spot in the trunk? Thanks Jim |

None of them will fit in the spare spot in the trunk...you need to use a 20x8 front wheel to get it to fit in the trunk....not sure a 20x9 will even fit...

Rim clear paint spray Help.
I want to add some gloss to my 1LE wheels. Considering coating with a spray clear coat paint. I don't know what kind of paint GM used on the wheels. I enamel, lacquer etc.
Any thoughts on paint to use, how to do it or has anyone done this? Thanks Jim |

Don't do it! Just wax them with Sweet Wheel Wax sold on autogeek.net. At least try it before making a permanent change. Just my 2 cents

I will try that, but

Are you saying to use wax first because I might not like gloss or because the clear coat paint may screw up the original paint, or because it's hard to do and I might screw it up. wow that was alot of questions. JIm |

1st. The wax is temp in case you don't like the gloss. 2nd. The wax is cheap. .. if you don't like it. 3rd. If you do like it, it's cheap to maintain. 4th. It only adds a little gloss without making them "shinny." 5th. It resist brake dust and makes the wheels easier to clean. 6th. I don't know your skill level so I don't know how it would turn out if you did it. Good luck either way. Enough answers? LOL Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk

My real concern with the clear coat paint is that it might react with the current paint on the wheels. I read some great reviews for the product you recommended, thanks Jim |
