First Look - Amazed at dealer cosmetic additions

Just took a look at the new Camaro and all I have to say is wow!

But you have to love dealerships effort to make some extra money installing a few extras on a car.

Rims and Tires: $5600
Painted Ground Effects: $3300
Painted Bowtie F/R: $200

3300? thats ridiculous, but dealers always do that, buy the most expensive trims and models just so they can say thats all we have. Order it, or get screwed and pay a lot for something thats not exactly the way you want it.

So are they charging $3,300 just for the paint, or for the kit and the paint together?

If its an SS that just brought the price up nealry $10,000. More $$$$ in thier pockets. No need for the diffrent rims at all. Stock 20's are good enough esp if its the RS package IMO

They look pretty dark on the build your own Camaro page of GM. Must be Dark Gray.

They look like this if they aren't painted...to me it looks like it is the same as the rear diffuser panel material/color.

The ground effects painted look really nice, much better than they look on the website. And the painted bowtie are one of the first things I will do to the car, but it will be a lot cheaper than $200 for a can of spray paint and some masking tape!

It things like this that explain why Selman closed down two of their other dealerships.

But before I insert my foot in my mouth, some rich OC fool (members here excluded, of course) who wants to be the first in Orange, or Anaheim, or Anahiem Hills, or surrounding, to have one will not bark about the price at all and buy it.

Me, no thanks. I'll buy at MSRP or less soon enough.

Is this your car? It looks sweet! I like the flat color on the ground effects.
