scratched my baby
NOT NECESSARY TO READ : long story short i pulled into a tiny parking alot to turn around, next to a retirement community or something. the problem was the lot was incredibly skinny and the last parking spot had a car in it making the one-way exit out of it even smaller. as i tried to pull around the car i road up on a fckn huge rock someone thought would be brilliant to put next to the road
it was one of those decorative rocks you buy from a store, it was pretty huge like a rectangle the size of a basketball, unfortunately i didn't see it until i road up on it i had no way to exit the parking lot with the car and rock giving me no room to pass through (the parking lot was that small, diagonal parking spots with maybe 5 feet to the curb from the end of each spot). i had to backout the way i came in after trying to turn around in it for like 5 minutes anyways /rant i end up with these scratches on my front bumper, anything i can do at home to make em look nicer? i figured id sand them with a fine grade grade carefully and use some black car paint i have to paint over it. the color of the black doesnt match ideally but the scratches are so close to the ground it doesn't bother me that much. also how much would you estimate a pro would do it for? |

DR color chip isn't going to do much for that kind of damage. This has to be sanded filled primed, painted and blended.
I would suggest your nearest reputable body shop.

i would prefer to do it myself if i could, i can buy primer paint and sandpaper the blend isn't a huge worry for me, and you can buy the exact color paint online and order it |

This does not look like a DIY project. I would take it to a body shop and it will cost around 500 to paint like CD said

Wait a week before doing anything. You will be surprised by how much it doesn't bother you as much. (Initially all you want to do is coddle the poor thing and take it to the emergency room)
It's in such a place that it may not bother you that much, telling you this from experience unfortunately...

Trust CD07 NOOOOOO! you will probably go thru the clear coat, possibly the paint and the primer. Either wait a week like the guy said or bite the bullet and go to a body shop. Please don't risk further damage.
