My first paint attempt

This is my first attempt... if I can get the one out of the car without breaking it, I'll try again... otherwise this one is going in!

Nice. What type paint did you use? Rattle cans or bc/cc?

It's OEM paint from automotivetouchup.com... spray cans. Once I have it installed I"ll post pics.

Looks good. Tell me did you sand and prime first? Also did you clear coat the part when done?

To the OP,

I think it looks pretty good, especially for a first painting attempt. Not the style I'D personally do, but I have to commend the attempt to be creative and the quality seems good too.

Post pics once it's reinstalled.

Sanded, and adhesive promoter before paint, then clear coat... it has a few runs, but not very noticeable. I did get the stock one out without breaking it, so I will paint that one as well to try to make it better. One of them will be going in, just don't know which one yet!

Thanks everyone, the stripe is aligned that way because the stripe I am putting on the car is going to be very similar... pics will be up of that once it's done as well...

Subscribed and also would like to see it installed. Are you planning on painting on any other interior pieces?

I have the dash and door panels white... (installing the door panels this evening...) this is all I have planned right now, but the addiction never stops! I'm waiting for the black to dry on the second piece and then I'll have to wait for the clear coat to dry, I will post intall pics either tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Cool. Can't wait, You're absolutely right about the addiction, though. It just grows and grows.
