Muffler Delete question,

I cut the mufflers on my 2011 SS,
My question is, am I losing power?

Thanks for the info in advance!

Whats the enhancement after the muffler-delete that you've noticed..?
Also, advise on sound.

Do you recommend it?

Thanks.

only thing I've notice is a loss in mpg because i over rev and rap the throtle just to hear it

the v6 is iffy
some like it some dont

the v8 so far almost every one loves it
some (very few) make a drone noise about 1800 to 2200 rpms.
some like the decel popping noise others dont have it at all.

I love mine
it is how it should have come from the factory

Yeh, i know what you mean. I'll just stick and settle for my current Flowmaster install; has the drone and sound i want.

And yes! the 5thGen. Camaros should of came like that as stock, with growling exhaust noise, so that the POW POWs wont penalise you for that sound as an aftermarket kit.

Note, the ZL-1 stock exhaust is ON FIRE!!! I need that on my 1LT/RS!

Agreed, the SS exhaust sound that comes from deleting the mufflers is the way it should have come from the factory. I have an L99 so the only downfall is now the AFM sounds are more pronounced, but hey thats what higher radio volume is for . Been battling now with whether or not to take off that monstrosity of a resonator for added tone. Another C5 member lives down the road from me. He has an LS3 muffler delete with the M6 smaller stock resonators and it does sound decidely louder than mine.

I love my muffler delete. I cant believe I waited so long to do it. Love the decel pop.
I may be imagining it but I think I have slightly more power. I think I'm just imagining it lol.

muffler delete is the cheapest way to make the exhaust louder. you simply take it to the closest muffler shop (preferably mom and pop/old school tradesman shop) and tell them that you want them to cut the stock muffler out and bend a pipe to bridge the gap...

i would be careful however on a V6 im not sure how it would sound.

i have done this to my V8 and love it!
