Roll Cage Questions
With many people dipping into the sub 11.5 territory, are there any of you considering a roll bar or cage? If so are you planning on bolt in or welded? Custom built or prepackaged?

There are different routes to go depending on your goals and budget, but you should start with local shops with experience on a 5th gen. you only need a 5 point roll bar (not a full roll cage) to go 11.49. I wouldn't put one in unless you're consistently going that fast and spend a lot of time at the track. Custom is usually the way to go for perfect fitment, but costs more. I don't know of any bolt in roll bars for the 5th gen. Weld in is stronger, but requires most of the interior to be removed for installation.

There are quite a few cars that are faster than 11.49 right off the show room floor or with basic boltons.
I'm really hoping for a NHRA rule change for newer/safer cars. Making a cage mandatory at 10.5 would be more acceptable in my mind.
