Gforce 9 inch Kit and Road Trips

Hey all! I just wanted to mention a few things about the Gforce 9" in the SS from a road trip the wife and I recently took to Dallas. This is a 750 mile round trip for me from Wichita, KS.

First off, my car is not making monster power yet. Its in the future plans. This is about driveabilty in a road trip scenerio or daily driver. I plan on building a car that can still be driven coast to coast and still take a good flogging at the drag strip with big power later.

I have the Strange Pro Iron case, S-Trac, and Motive 4.11 Gears (set up by Strange) with the new style, no CV joint, 1 pc 3.5" alum drive shaft.

We all know that the Gforce Kit can handle massive abuse, Bull F16 among others have tried to kill it! But how does a car that is only at 470+ RWHP and running this setup do on road trips?

Well, it drives better than stock, smooth, quiet (no obnoxious gear whine) and I still get 22 MPG on the highway with the 4.11 gear! Even the wife was impressed with how quiet and civil the SS was going down the road.

So, if you're on the fence on whether or not this setup is going to be too harsh for daily drivers or road trips, I can vouch that the car has retained its civil driveability as far as the Gforce driveline is concerned. It now has, pretty much, a bullet proof, worry free and quiet drivetrain. I know some people may care less about driveability with big powered cars, but for some of us, its nice to be able to have the best of both worlds! Thanks to Gforce Crew!

Great feedback Brad!
Most people dont ever think about taking a car with a 9" on road trips but many do.
We make our fabricated 9" kit for the CTS-V and most of those guys hit the highways on road trips all the time with great results.

Thanks
Chris @ Gforce

You need to leave your car with us for a couple days and we can bolt one of the ECS blower kits
