I got a K&N Typhoon because I wanted a polished tube and wanted to go with a well know reputable company. Plus I got it for $175. I do not like the look of the CAI, I like the filter exposed not in a covered box.

Initial impressions are positive. Sounds a bit louder and feels slightly more responsive. Now I'll be getting a Magnaflow X-Pipe and a muffler delete. Then it'll finally wake up a bit Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

Only 1 mention of injen, even though it "won" the comparison done by Jannety Racing?

K & N makes a great product. I have had them on every vehicle I have owned and have never had an issue! Plus they look fantastic!! Don't mind the heater hoses...they aren't there anymore...

I have both. K&N on my truck and a CAI on my Camaro. Owning and comparing both I have to say CAI all the way. Ease of installation, positive seal via the lid, insulated box and tube, sharp looks, gains backed by Jannetty results. Really happy with my CAI.

Since the OP was specific as to the two intakes on his mind, CAI would be my pick.

You can't wrong with CAI, plus you can do this if you want.
