2010 vs 2013

So i have a 2010 2SS RS. I sometimes have the urge to sell it for a 2013 or even wait to see if the 2015 would be worth the trade. I mean i feel like there are cooler features out there. Like the HUD or the newer back seats and stereos. I want to build for motorsports but Id be blowed if after I do the 2015 comes out with something faster lighter and way more high tech. anyone else have these feelings?

Something better is always going to come out man. Just take your car and do what you want to, otherwise you'll just keep second guessing yourself.

yea the newer ones are A LOT cooler, but hey, you have a 2010, that's the comeback year for the camaro. I say keep yours but now if you had a 2012 that's a different story...

Depends on what you want out of a 2015. Are you going to go with, say: an LS7 upgrade if they have it? Or standard SS V8? A 2013 isnt worth it IMO.Stick with yours or wait for the new platform and pick one up then.

I've had these same thoughts too, especially about trading-up for the 2013 "1LE". But after lots of consideration, I think I'm going to stick with my 2010. I've done a lot of work to this thing already, so I don't want to have to start all over again. Plus, I would end up financing probably an additional $10k. My better half said I could upgrade if that's what I was dying to do, but she said "NO Modifications" until it's paid off!!!! I don't know if I could do that!!! So, in order to "keep the peace" in the house, I think I'll just continue with my current build. Just gotta find me some of those black ZL1 wheels now!!!

It's really none of my business, but if it were me I'd stick with the '10 for a couple more years until you see that the '15 really is. I don't see anything in the '13 that would be worth trading in the '10 for, unless you just don't like the one you have. There seems to be a lack of hard data about the '15. Maybe when you see one you'll be happy to keep yours. I keep imagining it to be a lighter car with engine choices being a 4 and a 6, and maybe a turbo 6 in the SS. But, who know?

i thought the same thing i was going to go 1le, but nah im gonna stick with the 2010, if they come out with a lighter , smaller car , and a diff gen ls or ls7 , i will trade up or buy another one. but with not much changing from the 2010 to the 2013 its not worth it. i would like to have the my link deal but im sure someone will retrofit it . but if not its no biggie.

Stick w/it. GM will continue to improve the car so this question will come up every year. Improve it yourself and save the money (theoretically).

Wait for a learger leap in technology. A few trim peices, a small suspension tweak, and some electronics upgrades are only differences to date. Wait for a facelift or new car or you will be right back here asking the same questions in a few years.

yea thats really true and its not like i actually have any problems with my SS. I could upgrade it with aftermarket parts and probably get better results.

I've thought the same once or twice. Even thought about stepping to the 1LE as well. I just can't do it though. I've got to much vested in the car now and I would take too big of a hit. I've got mine modded up just about where I want it now anyway.

I'll wait and see how the 2015 looks. If there is major improvements then I might consider it.

I say stick with your 2010. If you want HUD then add it. If you want rear view camera then add it. If you want more sear of the pants then add some gears or something. Ultimately you'll be better off financially.

The only major differences i can think of are the screens on the dash for the 2013s (which id prefer not to have) and the electric power steering, which will eventually be a part (or large pile of parts) you can buy from the dealership if you feel you need it. All the suspension upgrades from '10-'12 can be trumped by the components from pedders, pfadt, BMR, etc etc etc you know. and you can set it up how you want it to be.

I'm curious as to why?
