Is it safe to wax these rims with wax?

They are just painted with a clear coat on top. YES. Make sure the wax you use is clear coat safe. But with any wheel, make sure they are cool before you put anything on them. And for your own good test whatever product your going to use in a small area just in case

You should use a sealant instead of a wax.

Our Quick Sealant is ideal for wheels, for a few reasons:

  • It's optically clear, so leaves no residues behind.
  • It's an aerosol, so it's great for getting in all the hard-to-reach places on wheels.
  • It's a synthetic sealant, so it's engineered for longevity and holds up very well in the hostile environment that wheels live in.

Becky did you take the tires off to apply the sealant, and do you know how much the torque is needed to place the lug nuts back in place? TY

This was a issue with the Camaro manual, as it is stated as 140lb/ft it should only be 100lb/ft.

You can have your service dept. check it out, if they question it have them look up doc id 2210980.

You can possibly warp the rotar if you set it at the 140lb/ft

Thanks for this. I just put new lug nuts on and went by the manual. You would think with something that important they would have at least included a separate notice paper.
