Camaro "RS package" parts price & location

Hi guys,

I currently have a 2013 1LT camaro without the RS package which I would like to add to my car.

I've read other threads that say it might be better to just sell and buy another camaro with the package on it. If I was to not consider that an option, how much would it cost me to add the halos and the heads up display? Aftermarket halos are okay by me as long as they look the same as the factory (if they included extra features such as changing colors like the chameleon halos, it would be a plus).

I have an issue with the "non RS" chameleon halos and it's that they just throw them in right with the stock lights. I don't like the stock lights, and pardon that I don't know the right terms for it so I'll describe it. The pattern that is around the lights of non RS camaros. It isn't the same as when you buy an RS camaro. RS camaros headlights look clean and don't have that pattern that the non RS has, as well as older cars they all have that pattern on the headlights. So in the chameleons you can see that they aren't legit RS halos so I want my headlights completely replaced.

I would also like to match the antenna and the rubber on the roof to match the car. I live in the Miami area so I would also like to know if any of you guys that are from around here know any place that they would recommend to do this type of job (replacing the headlights, heads up display, and the antenna and rubbers).

Money is not the biggest concern, I have some money to burn but I highly doubt that I have enough to change the car all at once. What I do have is time, therefore I have time to save up and change things over time.

Let me know what you guys think. Thank you for taking your time to read this thread by the way!

Most of the parts are available.

The price for the lights is outrageous. Last time I saw them listed, it was almost as much as the entire RS package.

The antenna and roof ditch molding (ie: rubber), are painted. No reason to replace them. But you can't simply paint just the molding, you will need to paint the entire roof.

The HUD is NOT part of the RS package. You should be able to add it, but again, it's not cheap. Look here: http://www.gen5diy.com/

Hi,

First off thanks for the reply!

Well I looked into the website. For some reason while going from page 1 to page 2 and so on, it gives off a "can't find the page" message. Anyways, as far as the roof ditch and the antenna are concerned, a few months ago I had an incident at one point in which I had to go to the collision center at my local chevy dealer. While there I asked the manager about the roof ditch molding and antenna and if he could paint those for me. He said that the non-RS camaros come with a "non-RS" antenna and roof molding which is the generic black we see. So he said that the RS antenna is a different type which can be painted, and they are painted before installing them to the car. As dumb as I thought that sounded he said that's how it is and that if he was to remove my antenna to get it painted it wouldn't come off the same as if I would have gotten the same car with the same color, but with the RS package included.

I couldn't find the price of the halos due to the problem I mentioned with the website but I did manage to find the HUD which is not as horrible in price as I thought it would be. Now to find someone to install that for me will be another mission.
