Dallas Auto Show Camaros

Hey crew,

There was some discussion in the Fort Worth Auto Show thread about the Camaros at the Dallas Auto Show. I'm a writer here in Texas, so I was able to get the list from GM. I imagine this is tentative, so use those grains of salt :P

"Good morning Adam,

There will be three Camaros at the Dallas Auto Show.

Silver SS and Red Jewel Tintcoat LT are barriered -- Victory Red LS is open to public

Hope this what you need. "

Well, it's what you guys need. On the off-chance that there is someone there who can speak about the product, do you guys have questions? I'll be doing some live video microblogging, and I'd definitely love to share that coverage with you guys here.

Love this forum and the stories inside. Glad to be here!

IF you can, can you try to get like a walk through of the vehicle. It would nice to see all the different kinds of things in the car. Welcome to the site

Fad, if you didn't see the microblog from the Houston Auto Show, we did a walkthrough of the cloth interior -- the cloth is very detailed, by the way. It's my pick over the leather, in fact.

You can see that coverage at http://utterli.com/highmileage.

I'll be doing the same sort of microblogging experiment at the Dallas Auto Show, hopefully with somewhat improved quality. It goes down on 18 February. I'll let you guys know when to tune in.

Cool. Put some extra effort on the Vid Quality. And remember, Battery will be disconnected.

I was really eager to show you guys the head unit -- the last one I sat in had the battery connected, and it looked great!

Several of the cars hadn't had their batteries disconnected yet that day. Unfortunately, we were out of luck. After the interview, one of the vehicle prep guys needed to reconnect the battery for some reason, but there's no manual release for the trunk... where the battery is located. They recruited me to crawl in through the pass-through and pop the trunk. Shunt says hi.

There are two ways to improve mobile video quality. One way is sure to work... but involves more equipment, more batteries, more hassle... much less neat. Renegade journalism is a lot like the Volt... it'll get there, it'll just take time.

Edit: Actually, I wonder. Neither the prep guy nor I really looked for a manual release inside the car. Maybe there was one... ? It's also possible that since it was an EX car/a very early build, it didn't have a keyhole or button near the plate frame. Don't wanna cause alarm where there's no need.

But I thought there was going to be four Camaro's at the Dallas Show. I have my high hopes that there will still be four coming to town.

Thanks for the update and I will take it with a grain of salt.
