Considering a ‘13 ZL1

Hello
I am considering moving from my ‘45th to a ‘13 ZL1, I like to drive my cars hard on the backroads in WI, I guess what I am wondering have there been any problems with the early ZL1’s, anything I should ask the dealer or look into in the service history?

Thank you in advance for anything anyone provides!!!

Lou

I don't know of any vehicle manufacturer where shocks and struts are not in the same category as tires, pads and fluids.

Chevy did replace my rear shocks when the car was under warranty.

Well I did the deal Saturday, I negotiated a 24 month bumper to bumper warranty, I had the dealer check and the isolator has not been replaced. I was wondering if I should wait a while, and complain of the “rattle” to then have it fixed? Sorry, no pictures yet.....really crappy weather in WI! It is black, black top and black wheels with exposed carbon fiber.....

They wont replace it until it is physically rattling. Don't worry about it too much.... When it happens, schedule an appointment, and get your new supercharger.

Don't read too much into the panic found on the forums. These cars are pretty much bullet proof.

When does that warranty begin? I've heard of dealers (not Chevy) that offer an 'extended' warranty, but one that began the car was manufactured or in the case of used cars, the day it was originally bought.

In other words, would that 6 year warranty cover the car for the NEXT 6 years or for only less than one year since the car is a 2013?

It starts tomorrow when I pick the car up!
