NO! I love the Camaro, but no thanks with a V6. I would buy a ZR1 instead of the Camaro if that were the case......

I'd take a forced induction V6 that would give me similar performance and better mileage than a V8 if the exhaust note was tuned just right. After All one of the sweetest things about the American muscle car is the big engine sound It would be hard to get with a V6. I'd take a 400 hp v6 that got 27 MPG, gas is relatively cheap now with 93 octane being around 2 dollars but if we went back to 4 or 5 or 6 or worse 7+ dollars a gallon most would not buy the v8 at 5 dollars it would take 100 dollars to fill your tank. We may all be forced to make these choices in the future because of CAFE.

Arrow 300 HP will be quite fast indeed...

I just want the SS cause I haven't had a V8 since my first car. And that's been gone since 1993...
300 HP in the 5.3 L SSRs are quick enough for me and many other owners. The Camaro will weigh in much less than the SSR so it should be quite fast indeed!

I dont understand the mentality here. I want the V8 as well and will 99% be ordering it that way, but in all honesty if I had to end up with the 6 I would still look out in the driveway and see my beautiful maro!!

Guaranteed once a lot of members get their insurance rates the number of V-8 owners will be far less than V-6 owners.

Haha...what? If they didn't make the SS you'd throw down another 60,000 for a super car?

Yes I would buy a ZR1.....but I will not pay over msrp as most dealers want. I have always been a Camaro fan, but a V6 is not what I want. Sure the V6 will have its place for alot of Camaro fans, but I'm not looking for a gas mileage car I want good old American Muscle.

No, cause I'm getting a Camaro to ditch my V6 Mustang. If there were no V8 option I'd stick with my Mustang and mod the hell out of it. Not worth trading a V6 for a V6.

Yep I'd take a v6 if nothing else were offered but I'm holding out for the v8 and hopefully a convertible.
