Based on this thread we would need to ban: Buck for Dollar Man, Dude, Sir, Babe, Miss instead of a person's name... speaking of names no shortening of Robert to Rob or Bob, David to Dave, Steven to Steve, Jennifer to Jen, Susan to Sue. For that manner Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Gramps, Gram, Pops, Me Ma as this are terms of endearment not formal names. U.S.A. should be banned as it is the United States of America. ATM is Automatic Teller Machine With that all acronyms or slag should be banned. Also I read in this post that 2010 should not be called Twenty Ten but Two Thousand and ten. Please say the year 1984.... is that One thousand nine hundred and eighty four or Nineteen Eighty four? Overall this thread is a giant fail. If not a funny fail. From now on I will call my car GM-ustang. As it is a GM pony car and the first pony car was the Mustang.... Back to driving my Maro... er.... Cammy.... uh.... 4 wheeled conveyance.

ANY type of nickname for cars is totally ridiculous. I cringe when I hear them or read them on websites. It's quite lame. Other terrible nicknames: Impy (Impala) and Elky (El Camino). JUST STOP IT !

agreed ban the new school slang.
I like the old school sayings " I love your SS " or your Z28, your IROC, Rally Sport, and than if you had it just plain, Camaro! With the way times and models change, maybe we should just call them by there proper names. This way we know what kind of Camaro you drive. Camaro LS Camaro 1LT Camaro 2LT Camaro 1SS Camaro 2SS |

I guess that makes this century the year of the 20 hundreds? Either way is acceptable, again I think you miss the point. I do not prefer to say Twenty Ten. I won't call it that, and I listed the reasons. I read an article that said Twenty Ten is correct, but we called the 2000's incorrectly. "Twenty Aught Nine" should have been for Two Thousand Nine. Oh and it should be "Ten items or Fewer" not "Ten items or less" at the Grocery store. I guess my Camry is not a Two thousand Camry but a Twenty Aught Aught, or a Twenty hundred. Which by the way I've never heard someone say Twenty Hundred. Again my point is, just because you don't like it, doesn't make it incorrect. I used the year as a great case in point. |

I do agree, I wouldn't call it a Cammy because I would think I'm talking about my Camry instead of Camaro. But hey I don't mind if someone calls there camaro Cammy. |
