ABMcamaroRS, Thanks for checking it out. I appreciated it. Guess it's an L99 thing only.

JohnyStorm, I will try to get some pictures for you. I'm putting the SLP Loudmouth from my 2010 Coupe on the vert later today.

Here are some pictures after my SLP Loudmouth install.

JohnyStorm, the car was only on ramps at the rear so I couldn't get real good pictures near the A6. Hope these help...

Exhaust note is much better now. This will have to do until someone comes out with a good catback for the vert.

Nope, no wires. These appear to be purely mechanical, spring loaded valves.

Tomorrow I am going to a Chevy dealer just north of here that has a couple of verts in stock. I will take pics of what I find...

Magnaflow listed their 2011 Systems today...... http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...MARO&year=2011

Most fit both Hardtop and Vert. The 3" Competition Series does not that it needs to be modified to fit the Vert, but does not say what.

The "contraptions" are on the L99 cars to help with AFM. Apparently AFM is more noticeable in a convertible with the top down compared to the coupe so the convertibles get this added in the exhaust.

If so, does it have the spring loaded things in the exhuast in this picture? I have been trying to figure out what they are. I have posted on a few other posts here, but no response.

It may be on the L99 vert only, not sure, but my 2010 L99 Coupe did not have them.
Those are the only on l99 verts and are designed to mask the sound of a 4 banger when AFM kicks in. They suck. The create a rattle sound when opening/closing. There's a tsb about it that states no action to be taken if customer brings in for service.
