For the record, hardt2788 CV3s were drilled. That is something we do not recommend and it changes the entire structure of the wheel. He was not made aware of this and it wasn't until we investigated did we find this out.

WE STILL ARE GOING TO WARRANTY THE WHEELS.

Sadly the wheels are not in stock which is delaying the process. We are trying our best here so please share the entire story so it doesn't seem like we are entirely at fault or not trying our best to fix this situation.

Thank you

Are you guys kidding or what, this must be a f'ing joke

this story is going to be shared across every car forum on the internet, this is absolutely absurd, i was annoyed before, now i am completely enraged.

I feel your pain, but vossen are still going to replace your wheels despite being drilled - I think your anger is being directed to vossen when really it should be directed to forgedwheelsource who mis sold you the wheel and has now gone AWOL....to me it looks like Vossen are trying to make it right and as soon as the wheel is in stock you'll have replacements...

given your wheel problem may be related to dealer...do you believe that purchasing local (your particular NY area) would have helped you in first contact and issue resolution? Then allowing you to maybe even swap brands...styles...in stock replacements immediately and then the dealer work with the manufacturer directly.

I don't mean no one buy from WS, just if the OP was in FL, would it have been any different?

no no...I don't disagree with the "same process" theory. Not in the slightest. I am all for internet / interstate commerce. Supply / Demand makes for less expensive (almost said cheaper) products.

I was just saying that in your case, would you have felt any better if you were looking directly in his eyes across a counter? It would be hard to ignore your inquiry at that point, although not hard to tell you 2 weeks, 2 more weeks, 1 more month just to get you out of his face.

I would think you might have been easier served with wheel swaps...etc. if you did it locally and let the store sort it out with Vossen but you are taken care of on the spot. He may not be currently worried about a New Yorker showing up on his Florida door step....yet.

Update: 4/12, Vossen is currently doing everything they possibly can to fix this, its now just an issue of replacement wheels being out of stock.

I am no longer dealing with ForgedWheelSource in any way, Vossen themselves have taken complete control of the situation. Vossen did not recommend the wheels being drilled but apparently ForgedWheelSource did it anyway just to make the sale without my acknowledgement or Vossens recommendation, and the fluids from the process of drilling is what weakened the clear coat.

Aside from some lack of communication at the start, everyone at Vossen have been completely professional and caring.

Damn those wheels look good! I'll stick with my American Racing wheels. I had a similar problem, went back to the dealer and had 4 new wheels in 3 days. Glad to see there are still a few companies that stand behind their product.
