FI + Warranty
It seems that the search function is not really any good on forum sites. I read some where I cannot find again, that Vortech offers warranty with their FI, but I could not locate Vortech FI for v6 Camaros on their website. How would their warranty work? WouldI only be bale to take car to them, assuming they have a location nearby? But what about the 100K powertrain dealer warranty? Their 36k mile warranty is nice, but after that costs to tranny and engine are high.
You guys getting the FI, what do you about car repairs afterwards? I'm assuming you are losing your warranties, besides a random post I read about a dealership in Illinois retaining warranty after a customer did FI, but I cannot find that post/thread any more. At least with this thread title, it should be easier to skim the page and find this thread. It is not about knowing if the warranty is voided, more likely it is. What do people do with their cars when stuff goes wrong, or even, how long do you plan to have your cars after getting FI? If I don't get bad attitudes, then Wayne Brady will not have to slap a hoe!!

IDK about Vortech, but I do believe IPF offers warranty and it's sort of like a powertrain. I don't think IPF would be fixing your radio if your CD got stuck or something lol. |

IPF offers a warranty, but you may be SOL at a dealer unless you know the manager extremely well.

Aftermarket warranty companies are the only choice here for drivetrain. The systems I'm sure all cary good warranties covering the components used, but anytime your modding to this extent the dealer is probably not going to cover much.

We have a supplemental warranty that is 36 months, 36,000 miles or 50 months 48,000 miles.
PM me for details and I can explain how it works. Thanks, Jesse! |
