Exclamation Header ground clearance and/or scraping issues

Through all my months of researching headers the "issue" of ground clearance for headers never came up for me, hence this thread. To make it known to all and to share experiences with the brand of headers and their clearances we can share here in one place. Had I known to add this into my shopping equation I probably would have went with another brand and here's why: I'm already lower than stock with the tires listed below. My next move was to close my wheel well gap with lowering springs but now that's impossible unless I go back to stock tire size, which I don't want to do just yet. :(

Here is what I have:
Dynatech headers-No Cat's / Stock cat-back with muffler delete / Stock SS wheels with 30 series tires. I apparently DO have scraping / clearance issues and will post up some side view pictures later today. They hang pretty low!

Please share your Spec's and clearance issues! I can and will consolidate the info in this post if/when we get enough folks to share.

Thanks!

No issues with my ARH LT's, HF cats and Crosa catback. The do hang a bit lower then stock (Maybe 1/4-1/2"), that's the nature of LT & HF, but not enough for me to have scraped them. I'm not lowered and on stock rims and tires.

My clearance is fine, the only place I can't go is this one gas station that has speed bumps so large I scrapped before the headers

By "specs" he means what headers, are you lowered... etc.

I'll be in the market soon for an exhaust changeover; I have Eibachs that I'll also be installing so this thread will be beneficial to me. Thanks OP. Hope it stays on track.

2" kooks and lowered with coilovers(about1-1/4"). I measured the clearance and have about 3". They scrape on not so gradual bumps, like into my garage. I built a ramp for the car to make it over. The headers hang about 1" below the frame.

Full ARH system, Pfadt 1.25 inch drop, 20 inch wheels with tires that equal stock tire height - I scrape the HF cats on curbs and speed bumps if I do not go one wheel at a time. 3.25 inch clearance at the HF cats.

Full ARH system here. Only clearance issues I had were when the bolts on the clamps were hanging straight down and caught on a curb. I jacked the car up, loosend and turned the clamps so the bolts weren't hanging straing down and no more issues since.

Agreed. Been over a few bad speed bumps since getting mine and no issues. My car is stock height though.

I have had an ARH catted system for most of my 140,000 miles. I have never had an issue with clearance. Car is at stock height.

I have 2" SW's with no cats. Stock wheels and not lowered. Have never scraped anything. At worst they sit MAYBE 1/2" lower than the stock cats did if that.
