I've never heard of this guy, but then again, I have never had a performance car tuned by anyone. Is he pretty good and legit and would you guys recommend him as a well known tuner like Shelby and Roush for the mustangs? I know there was a thread about another tuner that alot of folks didnt care for. I think it was Hennesey (sp?). I'm hoping this guy is better. I dont need a 800hp car since i"ll never have a chance to use that much power (no race tracks here on Oahu), but I do love torque! I might think about one of the lesser hp packages.

I hard to guess range for the LPE upgrade to 550HP and body kit. Its a little over 100 HP jump. Also, its harder to say because we don't know all the other performance things they might add. It can be low as 5K for just HP or 20K for the whole kit and kaboodle.

But..based on a comparative analysis of the corvette on the website, I would guess 6K to10K with the HP, exhaust, and etc. Brakes, handling, performance, and etc. will make it go up. Too many options to decide.

Me too. BUT, I've never had a car to mod before, so I will definitely be adding an MPS 1900 to this eventually.

I must not have that car yet in the junkyard. I know I would have made the comparison. The game does have nice sound effects.

I also want to see how they work with the VVT and AFM to get this kind of power. Believe me I drove 700hp on the street almost ecery weekend and it spoiled me. I still miss that car.

The old saying still hold; "$peed co$t$, how fa$t do you really want to go?"
You can add on something else, "There will always be a market and there will always be some one fa$ter."

for that are wondering about the costs. This should give you some idea.

I wasn't asking why someone would want to do it, that's a given, but was simply pointing out that, IMHO, getting to 800+ HP in the Camaro is going to take considerably more $$ that it did for me to get to the same power level in my GT500.

As someone who will be modifying their Gen5 when I get one, this is an area of concern for me.

Anyone got $30,000 i can borrow to buy the car, and $40,000 to have to do the twin turbo kit and motor build he offers. I know that kit for the corvette is bonkers.

i dont even know what bonkers is. But it is 4:40 am here. still cant sleep :(

I don't think that's true at all. If you want to have somebody else do it for you with a fancy name and whatever premium they feel like charging, then of course it will. Since I assume you're a guy who might like some more "do it yourself" I wouldn't be surprised if you spend considerably less on the Camaro. I mean, you already have a $10k (or more) head start

OK ... you got me on the warrantee but ... I beg to differ with you on the "streetability". Thats what I do for a living. Tune cars like this. And as for the warrantee, I dont have any doubt that my engine will be still singing sweetly after 3 years or 36,000 miles I know, its not for everyone, but I cant wait to come up along side an LPE car and dust it. LOL.

The LPE package will be around $10k-$11k considering the Vette package is $13k with a new hood painted.

The Warhawk block is close to $5k alone, so I kinda doubt you will build it for less than $10k to $11k. That doesn't include your own time either.

Ummmmm ... the 800HP option is NOT $10-11K ... try 3 times that.

Sadly, the MODs don't ban trolls. And...I don't think you are even thinking of getting one.

This would be the truth. Ford parts have ALWAYS historically been higher than Chevy or Dodge. Ford makes the Mustang butt ugly and with nothing so they can sell all their aftermarket crap for big bucks. They have always done that.
