Easiest Way to Remove Front grille ZL1 Badge?
Hi,
As the topic title says - what's the easiest way to remove the ZL1 badge from the front grille? This one... I have a painted replacement one ready to go on as soon as I can get the original removed Thanks

I would try and remove the cooling plate and the hood latch. You may be able to get your hand down there if not, I'd assume removing the front bumper.

Thanks - I've figured it out now though - I wasn't bothered about damaging the outgoing one so just got some fishing wire behind and pulled it off - real easy in the end - new one is now on

Gonna be doing this on mine soon, any way to do it where you don't damage the original emblem?

The only part I damaged was the little posts that line up with the grille so nothing major and I could put the original's back on now and nobody would ever know they have been removed....the best way to avoid damage however would be to remove the bumper and take them off from behind where they clip in, but that's a big job just for a little badge and I think unnecessary - just use a hairdryer to heat the glue up that's holding them on and then use fishing wire to gently pry the badge away from the grille.....patience is the key!

Guess I saw this one a little late LOL...
Long screwdriver down through where the hood latch hole is to put a little pressure on each tab so they release while pulling on the bowtie from the outside. Pops right out one side and then the other side. |

Yeah a little late for me now haha, but good for anyone else wanting to do this - I broke the little tabs on 2 of my letters but it didn't really matter to me as they were not being reused anyway. I don't think I have a screwdriver long enough anyway!

No no, That's just the easiest way to remove the front splitter.

Binford has a new grille emblem removal tool. Guaranteed to remove even the most stubborn grille emblems, like that pesky gold bowtie. Start it on SLOW SPEED....apply gently to grille area, wait 5 seconds and you're done...
