Saw a 2010 SS 1 today at dealership

Cloth seats and doors.
What else make a SS 1 different from a SS 2?
I would have never been able to tell the difference by just driving next to it!

Roof ditch molding is black compared to color match, white SS emblem, Non-Halo Headlights, no ABL, I believe that that the door/dash panels are cloth, but I could be wrong. No 4 guage pack, non leather steering wheel, bluetooth..etc

Does the SS have HUD? If not than that is a difference too

Aubrey Aubrey Aubrey...you have some learning to do on Camaro's

OP she mostly explained the "RS" package.

The difference between a 1SS and 2SS is just the leather interior and gauge cluster. Nothing on the exterior changes. The 1SS and 2SS is specifically changes to the interior.

Now that you mention it, it did not have the gauges either.
I don't understand why GM would sell a half a$$ Camaro when the difference in price is so little?

1SS Won't have leather, nor will it have the 4 pack cluster. No hud, (wasn't available in 2010 anyway) No USB/Bluetooth (can be added)

The RS package, which gives you the Halos, body colored roof ditch molding, darker colored wheels, and the darker tinted taillights can be added to any SS.

There may be some other options (backup camera/parking assist) that I'm missing.

Basically Adam summed it up perfectly.

A 1SS isn't that half assed =p I'm biased though since I have one. There's a lot of sweet cars on these forums that started out as a 1SS. I agree with you on the guages though. They could have thrown those in.

You couldn't be more wrong.

The white SS is a signified of a non-RS model. The RS includes the halos, roof ditch molding, and darker tail lights. The main difference in the 1 and 2 is that the 2SS has leather, HUD, Bluetooth,USB, BA system, PCID, 4 pack cluster, and the leather knob.

Perfect summary here ^^

Also, you can add *Some* of those creature comforts to a 1SS if you order one.

I ordered the BA system, hurst shifter with mine. I would have gotten the PCID/PDIM too but for some idiotic reason the system wouldn't let me order it with the hurst option. I chose the hurst over the PDIM.

I think the 1SS is perfect for folks that either want to mod their interiors, perhaps they may not like leather OR people who can't quite afford the 2SS. To some folks a few thousand might make a bigger difference than having leather seats.

Honestly, if I could do it again. I would have ordered a 2SS. It wasn't that much more, but the ABL/IOM leather would have been nice to have. But I'm in a better financial situation than I was two years ago when I bought my car. Live and learn I've spent FAR more in mods in that time than the measly couple of thousand the 2SS would have cost me. Who knew I would get hooked on car modding because of this website LOL

this is gonna be a stupid question, especially for someone who is on this forum for hours everyday! BUT, I thought that the "2" in an "SS" or "LT" pretty much signified that it had the RS....so like a 2SS meant it had the RS package and same for the 2LT. Obviously I am wrong haha, so what does the "2" mean?!

EDIT: TSSUNAMI above me answered the question. Man, I learn new things on here everyday

The 1 and 2 are interior packages.

RS is an exterior appearance package.

My car is a 2SS NON-RS. Though...I added halos myself.

Oh, ok I got it. I thought the interior/exterior was just a package deal offered only for the RS.
