I'm digging alot of these spoilers! I got the blade and i love it! I was afraid it was going to look too "ricey" but i don't think it does.

Would this be considered a sort of "dove tail" since it has a kick up on the trailing edge?

Here is my GM Dovetail IOM. I still have to do the rear fascia blackout and install he matte black tail light bezels. Sorry most pictures re in the garage as it started raining and car was freshly washed.

Hello, Anyone that added the Dovetail spoiler, My friend is having an electrical problem with the brake light in it. When they close the trunk the ligt in the spoiler and the other high mounted brake light goes out. I have traced it back to a plug on the passenger side rear, but am wondering since it is a LED light if there is a diode somewhere in line with the lights. Any diagrams or instruction info would be appreciated. I will be purchasing a Dovetail spoiler for my 2010 2SS/RS also.So it will be good practice for me to trouble shoot this one. Thanks

It probably became unplugged or the wire is pinched where it connects to the spoiler.

Remove the trunk lid liner first to take a look.You might have to remove the spoiler and look there as well for a good connection.

I doubt the problem is where it connects to the harness by the back seat because it's a problem when you close the trunk

Remove the panel in trunk lid. There are two wires that goes from the spoiler to the harness. These wires are pushed together and maybe o e isn't making contact. If not than the fold back seats down and pull interior panel away by rear passenger window. Just behind that is where the spoiler harness ties into hired brake light.

i swear i cant make up my mind on wht spoiler to get. How did u guys make ur pick?? Im stuck between MPD1 or wht ever its called and anvil but anvil is out of stock for a while and i hate waiting lol

I'd like to have an aftermarket spoiler but with all the other ways to spend $$ on improving the looks and/or performance of my SS it's kind of hard to justify replacing the perfectly fine stock one with one that's just a little bigger or whatever so doing that will probably be pretty far down my would-like-to-do list.
