2011 CAMARO V6 EXHAUST HELP!!!!
Okay so I have a 2011 v6 Camaro LS with everything stock and I was thinking of getting a better sounding exhaust. I wanted an exhaust that has a deep roar, a loud one too, the louder the better. One thing I DONT want is an exhaust that sounds like your blowing into a soda can.
My highest price im willing to pay is $450. Thanks. |

Welcome to the Forum. Theres an entire V6 exhaust thread in the V6 section.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33104 It's a personal preference thing and it takes some time to decide between sounds. |

Its a v6 (yes I have one too) its just not gonna sound like a v8 (deep roar). Sadly nothing we can do.

Nothing will help you sound like a V8, just cannot happen do to physics.
However you can make your V6 sound exotic and AWESOME for a 6. Check your other thread you posted, I sent a response on that one.

This is the video that convinced me to do the muffler delete, hpipe replacement with resonated xpipe and stock resonators delete. Loudest most aggressive sound you'll get but with a littler drone at highway speeds... But hey sacrifices

$450 doesn't leave you a lot of options aside from a custom setup such as the one above. It can be difficult to find a bolt on axleback for that price. If I was doing a setup similar to the above, I'd likey add some dynomax or magnaflow bullets into the mix to help mellow and lower the tone just a tad. The V6 CAN be made to sound good, aggressive, and nice, but it can also sound loud, annoying, and raspy depending on how it is changed. I would go so far as to say it can sound V8-like under certain rpms, but it will never sound just like a V8

MRT 2 has the best sound at wot in my humble opinion but nothing will get you a deep roar

If your wanting cheap, is get a resonated x-pipe and a set of cherry bomb extreme mufflers. The cherry bombs were like 90 bucks a side when I bought them. They sound pretty dang good, but I'm biased. Just get everything installed at once to save some money that way.

My dynomax VT sounds pretty good when jumping on the gas, but stockish when idling and cruising.

Since you have a 2011, you can do, muffler delete + solo j pipes, with magnaflow resonated x pipe, no resonators, and add a high flow cat with a long tube headers. HELL YEAH!

so i posted on your other thread as did a few others here, i think you should wait on the exhaust but if thats your first order of business save up more money for a good one. Maybe get DT shorty headers to start on that budget get the x-pipe aswell thats about your budget right there and cut the stock mufflers off and later on add the MRT V2 or SLP axle back or just skip the last two steps x-pipe and axle back and get a good cat back. Ark and stainless works make some awesome sounding cat backs on the V6 but they will cost north of $1000
