CARB legal twin turbo set up?

Does anyone know of one or are we Kalifornians screwed?

I was reading about one, I want to say it was Granatelli, that moved the cats ever slightly thus making it NOT CARB legal.

Input?

I dont know, i would firgure that if you got a rear mounted setup like the corvettes, it should not mess with the cats at all, and you wouldnt have any issues with the emissions laws.

The STS turbo's in the past have been CARB legal in CA for certain cars but in the end who cares. We don't have to smog the car until the sixth year anyways. When that day comes we can simply remove some components to pass the visual and were done.

Unless you get caught before that time, I think that is a main concern of most

Kalifornia is setting up more and more random roadside inspections these days.

I've yet to run into a roadside inspection point. Not that I have anything to worry about but that is good to know.

That's what I hear, but as Stang_Killer said below, I also have yet to run into any roadside inspections. Having said that, I'd rather be safe than sorry so CARB approval definitely helps.

Haven't heard of a CARB aproved TT setup as of yet. I've "heard" of people in other fourm groups running stuff that isn't C.A.R.B. aproved, but us here on C5 would never do something like that.

It can take a really long time for a kit to get certified. There has been a few kits that literally took 2 years before finally being certified. Most companies wont do the cert because of the length of time, testing and its very expensive. You would figure that given how expensive it can be, it would be worth it because more people would opt for a carb legal setup, rather then take a chance with something that is not legal.

Give it some time and im sure you will see a lot more certified parts become available, and if we all let our voices be heard to the vendors here, im sure we can make something happen.

Aren't the magnacharger kits CARB-legal? Less that could go wrong too, I would think.
