Weird sound in diff or trans. 6sp manual

Once I broke in my 2SS/RS manual I did a few speed shifts, and drove it like a muscle car. A couple days later and ever since I hear a strange noise like a wining sound??? Sounds like the pumkin. At the time I had about 1000 miles. I now have 9600 miles and it still sounds weird. Any ideas ???

I did a SEARCH first with NO results.

Did you take it to the dealer?

A whining sound from the trans is usually something with the synchronizers (sp?). If it's coming from the differential there can only be so much that's wrong. People have been complaining about the stock fluids causing both the diff and trans to be pretty noisy. If everything is in good working order (gwo) then you might think about a fluid change.

I do know they say that if you're gonna use it to race to change the differential fluid. I would assume beating on it hard would require the same change. Swap it out with some Royal Purple, but don't forget the friction additive.

Additive is not needed if you're using RP as it is already in their oil.

Thanks people. I really don't beat on it. I bought it on Sept 12, 2009, broke it in, and had some fun maybe 10 times I really got on it, but NOTHING compared to the MASSIVE BEATING'S I gave my Civic Si and 300HP 06 modded TL manual. I put snowtires on it around Nov 20, 09 and CAN'T beat it, or I would MELT my expensive HR Blizzak's. I guess I will take it to the dealer and see what they say after a test drive.

It doesn't sound like the trans, the sound comes from the rear of the car.
