Front Plate required

So I saw a couple threads about front plates. I was wondering in PA if a front plate is required? Also, do I just have to call my dealer and tell them I don't want any front plates on or do I need to keep reminding them?

Front Plate Holder = Drilled Holes in Bumper.

NO WAY!

(If you ever took the plate off, people would think you got "front parking assist")

I would tell the dealer... NO FRONT PLATE!

Mine got sick of hearing it.. Sometimes you have to do it to get what you want.

No front plate in PA but thanks for reminding me that the dealer might put the holder on for some dealer advertising or whatever. I'm picking mine up in a couple days, so I'll be sure to let them know today that I don't want any front plate holder or any dealer advertising decals etc. If they whine I'll let them put a rear plate frame on if they want advertising since I can easily remove that.

They SHOULD only mount it if you buy in a state that requires a front plate. PA does not so they probably won't mount it but tell them not to anyhow. I told my dealer 1000000000 times not to as I live in OH where it is required. F' em. I am not drilling my bumper.

Your location is listed as PA. Can't you just look out in the parking lot? What about the car you are now driving. Does it have a state issued plate on the front? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Even in states don't require it, they COULD install it anyway. since Chevy puts one in the car. if it were me, I would call them and call them and call them, put note all over your file stating that the customer has stated NOT to install the front plate holder, THEN show up the day its delivered and take it away from them and tell them again. I live it Texas, we require a front plate, I still did waht I just outlined, in fact my salesman dosn't like them either and made SURE it wasn't installed. I went out and got my own that requires drilling NO holes.

The day my car was dropped off at the dealer I went there and took the front plate bracket out of the trunk and took it home. A front plate is required in Ct but one out of ten cars driving around doesn't have one- It's not strickly enforced.

Does the front license plate bracket use rivets or screws for mounting?

Ordered mine from a guy on EBAY, mounts underneath to existing bolts does not need to be drilled, and it looks cool.
