Awesome, though it cost $2000 more then the R/T but $9,000 less then the SRT8,now if we only knew the option's cost like RS package and so on.

yes this info is correct. i'm holding in my hand the official 'home office letter' from GM confirming those prices.
the freight charge is $1,400 on top of all those prices.
no word on option pricing however.

So, here are the differences in percent...

LS = 21%
1LT = 17%
2LT = 19%
1SS = 22%
2SS = 23%

I.D.K., this is not sitting well with me...

Dodge camp with the Challenger SRT8 = 9%

Ford with a Mustang GT California = 17%, but at least you get a $3000 delivery allowance !

Does this price include destination charge?

i hope not...even if you took the base price of the 2SS and added freight, you're at $42,395 and let's add the more streamline options and taking current pricing of those options from other Chevy products, $1600 for the auto (corvette $), RS upgrade $2500 (guessing), sunroof $1480 (silverado $), and hood stripes $400 (guessing), your price is only $48,375 - plus the good ol canadian taxes (actually $55,000 is a good number if you consider taxes).

i had hoped for a $45,000 price tag from the start and it's looking like i'm not too far off the mark. Still, we're going to be about $10,000 higher than a similar equipped Camaro from the good ol US of A.

I am here to second this.
Hylton is right.

There was a GM Office letter sent out today, and this information is absolutely 100% correct.

Let the orders flood the system!

Excellent pricing!

So this is what I figured for my purchase:
2SS -- 40,995 (+22.6% from states btw)
+$1400 Dest -- 42395
+RS(+1500 est.) -- 43895
+STS(+500 est) -- 44395
+Taxes(5%gst+5%pst in sask) = $48,834 est.

How does that look, missing anything?
Guess I'll have to try and call/email the dealer tomorrow and see what they say.

At least it came in below $50k, lol.

This blows... add this, and we're talking 25%.... I really thought G.M. would be smarter than this..... I'm glad some of you seem pleased, but I think this is showing G.M.'s true colors....

Well I expected it to be high but at the same time hoping for a miracle. I really wanted the V8, and I still do, hell my friends are like yelling at me to get the V8 but the price, I'm not sure, hopefully the canadian dollar goes back up again big time and just go down across the border and get one.
