you win some you lose some...that's part of racing and what makes the hobby fun.

You picked up 8mph over the average SS with those mods? Is that the norm?

I dunno. Havent seen high trap speeds by anyone else. First time ever at a track. Most camaros there were running either 12.4@111 or12.5@112. Some went13.4@108. I dunno y

So whats the deal with these cars? Do they actually make between 440 to 450 HP stock...or do they have some kind of amazingingly low driveline loss? lol

I don't get how a car this day and age with SAE standard power ratings can be so underrated.
I think SAE is just to guarantee that none of the motors coming off the line are making LESS than advertised power... doesn't say anything about MORE!

Yep... and it's even more fun when you're the underdog!

I came to the realization a while ago that some guys lie about mods they supposedly have and don't go to the track and some guys lie about their mods they supposedly DON'T have and go to the track.

There are also guys who go to the track a LOT and can produce better times with the equipment they know to use for their cars.

Corrected times for me would have put me at 12.67 at 111 but if you add the same logic to the 5.0s they would have still been faster. This ruined my whole day at the track and has bugged me all day at work today. Basically same priced cars and not even close except for the driver mod. Plus I have spent 3k on top of what I paid for the car. Maybe I have a late Friday night build from Chevy. I loved my Camaro until yesterday. Now I am contemplating switching teams. I can't believe I am saying that but that is how disappointed I am.

Nope Mustangs are touched by the hand of God. With a drop in filter they run 10's. everyone should buy one, you an idiot if you don't. Gives you an unsafe 4 hour boner. makes grown men fear you, women want you, and kids want to be you. faster than the spaceshuttle and 0-breaking the sound barrier in 2.7 seconds. Oddly however still can't outrun their own ugly.

Hands down the Camaro is much better looking than the stangs but looks don't get the checkered flag.

Life isn't all about the checkered flag, at some point you have to leave the track. Mustangs are good performers, but honestly nutswingers talk about them like they are the second coming of the automotive world.

Sell the car. Just don't line up next to anything better than your worked 5.0 or you'll hate yourself all over again.

We beat up on the 5.0's all day long with the V6 TT camaros....if you have an auto I can guarantee .5-.7 sec improvement (traction dependant of course) with one of our billet stall converters.
